Douma To Join Defender Basketball

Keegan Douma, a senior at MOC FV High School, has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender basketball program.

“Keegan is a winner. He helps his teams be successful in many ways. He shoots it well, passes it well, and makes others better around him. We are looking forward to having Keegan be part of our Dordt Basketball Family, and be a part of Dordt University Campus,” said Dordt basketball coach Brian Van Haaften.

Douma is a 6-2 guard and is averaging 8.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 5.0 assists per game for the Dutch. He is converting 41.3 percent of his three-point shots and is a three-time all-academic team member and is a team captain for MOC FV.

“I chose Dordt because of the close community atmosphere and the dedication they show in helping every student grow in their personal faith journey,” said Douma.

Keegan is the son of Kent and Heidi Douma of Orange City, Iowa. He plans to enter the Pro-Tech program at Dordt.
