Dragstra Signs With NWC Football

Jacob Dragstra (Sioux Center, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.

Dragstra is a 5’11”, 235-pound lineman who started all four years on both sides of the ball for Unity Christian High School. Dragstra finished as the Knights career leader in tackles (143), tackles for loss (42.5) and quarterback sacks (10). He earned third team all-state honors as a junior and senior and was named first team all-district three seasons. Dragstra was part of a Knights team that finished the 2020 season with a 5-4 record and second round playoff appearance. He plans to study Ag-Business at Northwestern and is the son of Ken and Julie.

“Jacob has the ability to make an immediate impact on our defense,” said Northwestern head coach Matt McCarty. “He is one of the top defensive players in northwest Iowa over the past two years. Jacob is very disruptive on the defensive line and will be fun to watch during his career as a Red Raider.”
