Drake looks to play the role of spoiler on Saturday when the Bulldogs visit Davidson to close out the season.
With a victory Drake would knock Davidson out of the FCS playoffs and avoid the program’s first nine loss season since 1983.
That’s Drake coach Todd Stepsis who says the Bulldogs need to find a way to slow down a Davidson option attack that leads the country in rushing.
Stepsis says the attitude on the team has remained positive even though the Bulldogs are 2-8 overall and just 1-6 in the Pioneer Football League race.
Stepsis says it will be an emotional day for the seniors who will take off the pads for a final time.
