Feenstra And Miller-Meeks Make Cy-Hawk Wager

Hull, IA — Congressman Randy Feenstra and Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks have made a friendly wager ahead of the annual Cy-Hawk rivalry game this Saturday. Feenstra, who represents Iowa State University, picked the Iowa State Cyclones while Miller-Meeks, who represents the University of Iowa, chose the Iowa Hawkeyes.

If Iowa wins, Feenstra has agreed to make a donation to the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital and deliver a box of 4th District-made Twin Bings to Miller-Meeks congressional office. If Iowa State wins, Miller-Meeks will make a contribution to the Carson King Foundation and deliver Dutch Letters to the Feenstra congressional office.

“The Cy-Hawk game is one of the many great annual traditions in Iowa,” Feenstra said. “To host College GameDay in Ames and have both teams ranked in the top 10 for this year’s game will showcase for the country Iowa’s rich sports tradition. I look forward to rooting on the Cyclones in Ames on Saturday and collecting on Congresswoman Miller-Meeks wager next week.”

“The University of Iowa football team is one of the many incredible parts of the 2nd District,” Miller-Meeks said. “On Saturday, I’ll be rooting on our Hawkeyes in the Cy-Hawk rivalry and am confident that Congressman Feenstra will be making a worthy donation to the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital and a delivery of Twin Bings to our office next week.”
