Following a road loss last week Sheldon will take a 2-5 record (1-2 in the district) into a home game against Okoboji. The Pioneers are 2-5 as well with an 0-3 district mark.

Orab Head Coach Tyler Lloyd on the Pioneers offense.

Ball security will be imperative for the Orabs this week.

When we asked Okoboji Head Coach Jon Allen what got his attention with the Orabs he started with quarterback Kaleb Ackerman and running back Brian Bernal.

Allen feels one of the big keys to the game is keeping Sheldon “behind the sticks”.

The Coach Kory Roos joins LA for the broadcast on FM 100.7 and AM 1550.

Boyden Hull Rock Valley is on the road to MOC Floyd Valley this week. The Nighthawks are 2-1 in the district and 2-5 for the season coming off a home win last week. After a road loss last Friday the Dutch are looking for their first win.

Nighthawk Head Coach Cory Brandt says the Dutch are a team that has evolved over the course of the year due to injury and other things.

The keys to a Nighthawk win this week begin with the little things.

MOC Floyd Valley Head Coach Grant Hegstad sees this weeks opponent as a team that has also grown as the season has progressed.

For the Dutch to pick up a win the key is to keep taking steps forward.

Jon and Justin Hellinga bring you season long coverage of Nighthawk football on KIWA FM 105.3. Pregame for both contests will begin at 6:05 with “The Water Boys ” pregame show. Opening kickoffs are set for 7:00 and both games will be streamed from the website at www.kiwaradio.com.
