Tonight’s Football Broadcast Preview

Northwest Iowa — It’s week three of the high school football season as non district play continues leading up to week five. Sheldon hosts Le Mars in their home opener while Boyden Hull Rock Valley will travel to West Lyon for their third game against a State Ranked opponent in as many weeks.

Sheldon is 1-1 following a road loss to South O’Brien while the Bulldogs are 1-1 following a Thursday road win against MOC Floyd Valley.

Orab Head Coach Tyler Lloyd on the experience Le Mars brings to the contest.

With a pair of turnovers and some ill timed penalties the keys to a win this week begin with both of those items at the top of the list.

Le Mars Head Coach Gabe Tardive on what he sees as the strengths of the Orabs.

Special teams and turnovers top Tardive’s list of keys for the Friday matchup.

The Coach Kory Roos joins LA for the broadcast on FM 100.7 and AM 1550.

Boyden Hull Rock Valley is at West Lyon to go against the 2-0 Wildcats who come in ranked  #5 in Class 1A. The Wildcats posted a win at Sioux Center last Friday. The Nighthawks are 0-2 after a home loss to Western Christian who came in at # 7 in this weeks 1A Radio Iowa Poll.

Nighthawks Head Coach Cory Brandt described this years collection of Wildcat talent as scary.

The big key for the Nighthawks will be playing physical.

Wildcat Head Coach Jay Rozeboom is impressed with the Boyden Hull Rock Valley coaching staff and the shear number of players on the roster.

For West Lyon the emphasis this week and every week is on the basics.

Jon and Justin Hellinga bring you season long coverage of Nighthawk football on KIWA FM 105.3. Pregame for both contests will begin at 6:05 with “The Water Boys ” pregame show. Opening kickoffs are set for 7:00 and both games will be streamed from the website at www.kiwaradio.com.
