Football Friday Broadcast Preview For Friday September 18th

Sheldon Iowa — Week four of the High School Football season finds the Sheldon Orabs hosting #6 Central Lyon George Little Rock for homecoming. Boyden Hull Rock Valley is at A.R. Hesla Field in Hull hosting Bishop Heelan.

Sheldon is coming off a road loss at Sioux Center and comes in at 1-2 on the year and 0-1 in the district. The Lions come to Sheldon unbeaten at 3-0.

Like the Orabs the Lions offense goes through the quarterback but it’s the line play that makes it all possible.

That’s Sheldon Head Coach Tyler Lloyd. On the keys to a homecoming win it looks like this for the orange and black.

CL-G-LR Head Coach Curtis Eben feels the Orab offense begins with the quarterback.

The big key for the Lions will be identifying play makers.

The Coach Kory Roos joins LA for the broadcast on FM 100.7 and AM 1550.

The Nighthawks are coming off a last second loss at #9 Sergeant Bluff Luton last Friday while Bishop Heelan dropped a home game to Storm Lake. Both teams feature records of 1-2 on the year and 0-1 in 3A’s District 1.

Nighthawk Head Coach Corey Brandt talks about the Heelan hallmarks of size and speed.

Execution will be especially important for the Nighthawks.

Team speed also gets the attention of Crusaders Head Coach Chad Moseman.

The key for Heelan will be playing error free football.

Jon and Justin Hellinga continue full season coverage of Nighthawk football on KIWA FM 105.3. Pregame for both contests will begin at 6:30 from the game sites with opening kickoff set for 7:00. Both games will be streamed from the website at www.kiwaradio.com. The Orab game will feature a video stream as well.
