Friday Football Broadcast Preview For September 10th

Week three of the season brings to a close non district play for most area teams. Sheldon will be at home to Sibley Ocheyedan on KIWA AM1550/FM 100.7. Boyden Hull Rock Valley continues non district play at Unity with the final no district game next Friday.

Sheldon welcomes the Generals to town with both teams off to an 0-2 start. Sheldon is coming off a double overtime loss to   South O’Brien at Orab Field. Sibley Ocheyedan fell tp Okoboji at home last Friday.

Orab Head Coach Tyler Lloyd sees a Sibley Ocheyedan team similar to his Orabs through the first two games of the season.

For the Orabs to win they are going to have to play an error free “clean game”.

Generals Head Coach Tate Kellenberger wants his team to be ready for a physical game.

The coach adds the Generals running game will go a long in deciding the outcome.

The coach Kory Roos joins LA for the coverage on KIWA AM 1550/FM 100.7 with pregame at 6:30 and opening kick at 7:00.

It’s an early season battle of unbeatens on the Northwestern Campus in Orange City as Boyden Hull Rock Valley ranked #4 goes against Unity Christian. The Nighthawks are 2-0 after a win against Western Christian while the Knights are 2-0 following a home win over cross town rival MOC Floyd Valley.

For Nighthawk Head Coach Corey Brandt it’s the Knights effort that really stands out.

For the Nighthawks the emphasis this week is on execution.

Knights head Coach Josh Van Kempen talks about the challenge presented by Boyden Hull Rock Valley.

That challenge is being embraced.

Jon and Justin Hellinga continue our season long coverage of Boyden Hull Rock Valley on KIWA FM 105.3 with pregame at 6:30 and kick off at 7:00. Both of our broadcast games will be streamed from the website at www.kiwaradio.com. A video stream of the Sheldon game can be found on the KIWA Facebook page.
