Trevin Hulstein, a senior at Western Christian High School (Iowa), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the track and field program.
“We are excited that Trevin has decided to continue his education at Dordt and contribute to the track and field program! Trevin is a talented long sprinter with the ability to run middle distance races as well. We look forward to seeing how he will develop as an athlete and a person,” said Dordt track and field coach Craig Heynen.
Hulstein has personal bests of 2:02 in the 800 meters and 51.0 in the 400 meters. He was part of a 4×400 meter relay team that finished fifth at the Class 2A State Meet in 2019. Hulstein also claimed a team conference title in the 4×400 and the 4×800.
“I chose Dordt because it has always been in important place for me. Both my parents went to Dordt and I have grown up going to different Dordt events. I believe it is the best place for me to continue my education and track careers,” said Hulstein.
Trevin is the son of Scott and Jodi Hulstein of Sioux Center, Iowa. He plans to study Accounting and pre-Law at Dordt.
