Iowa City, Iowa — The Iowa Hawkeye baseball team scored seven runs in the first inning and five more in the second to beat Minnesota 18-0 and complete a sweep of Sunday’s doubleheader.
The Hawkeyes have won eight of nine after winning all three games of the Big Ten series.
That is Iowa coach Rick Heller. The Hawkeyes are 12-9 and Heller was pleased with their approach at the plate. Iowa scored 24 runs in Sunday’s twin bill.
Heller feels his team is hitting its stride offensively.
