Iowa Baseball Tabbed For Fourth In B1G Race

Iowa City, Iowa — The Iowa baseball team has been tabbed for fourth in the Big Ten preseason poll.

The Hawkeyes open a 44-game Big Ten only schedule on Saturday in Round Rock, Texas with the first a four game series against league favorite Michigan.

That’s Iowa coach Rick Heller. The Hawkeyes had seven seniors off last year’s team take advantage of the COVID waiver and return for this season.

The Hawkeyes will be without top pitcher Jack Dreyer. He underwent elbow surgery last fall.

Iowa’s home opener is March 19th against Nebraska.
