Iowa City, Iowa — The Iowa basketball team returns to action Friday night by hosting Missouri-Kansas City.
The Hawkeyes opened with a lopsided win over Longwood and sophomore forward Keegan Murray led the way with 24 points and seven rebounds.
That’s Iowa coach Fran McCaffery. The Hawkeyes connected on 15 three pointers in the opener.
McCaffery says with the transfer portal and the added year provided by COVID there will be a lot of upsets in non-conference play and points to Navy’s 66-58 win over 25th ranked Virginia on Tuesday night.
