Iowa Men Notch First Road Victory At Rutgers

Shorthanded Iowa rose up and registered its first road win of the season.

Rob Brooks on the Hawkeye Network. Iowa roared back from a nine point halftime deficit to beat Rutgers 84-73. Josh Dix led the way with 26 points and Payton Sandfort added 20 as the Hawkeyes move to 5-8 in the Big Ten.

Rutgers hit eight first half three pointers and led by as many as 11 before Iowa rallied. Not only were the Hawkeyes without starting center Owen Freeman but point guard Drew Thelwell missed the game with an ankle injury.
