The Iowa Hawkeye men take a 6-10 Big Ten record on the road Tuesday night to play struggling Illinois. The Illini have lost three straight. In a rare late nonconference game against second ranked Duke over the weekend in Madison Square Garden the Illini were throttled 110-67.
That’s Iowa coach Fran McCaffery. Despite losing nearly everyone from a team that made it to the Elite Eight last season the Illini have another talented team.
McCaffery says the Illini will force them to guard the three point line.
McCaffery continues to be impressed by the effort of his team during the stretch run.
Illinois is 9-8 in the Big Ten.
