Iowa Remains Fifth In AP Poll After Win Over Kent State

Iowa City, Iowa — The Iowa Hawkeyes remain fifth in the latest AP College Football Poll.

The Hawkeyes are coming off a 30-7 victory over Kent State and coach Kirk Ferentz has been impressed with the depth during a 3-0 start.

The Hawkeyes finished with 418 yards of total offense and Ferentz like the progress of a young offensive line.

Ferentz reaffirmed his belief in running back Ivory Kelly-Martin. The fifth year senior fumbled twice, losing one in Saturday’s win.

Tyler Goodson rushed for 153 yards and scored three touchdowns and quarterback Spencer Petras passed for 209 yards and a score.

Petras feels the offense is making progress.

Petras says the offensive line is making a lot of progress.

The Hawkeyes close out non conference play at home this weekend against Colorado State.
