Iowa State Players Savor Return To NCAA Tournament

Ames, Iowa — Iowa State players are savoring an NCAA bid which comes a year after the program suffered through a two win season.

Senior guard Izaiah Brockington was one of the players that transferred in and help a program that was picked to finish last in the Big 12.

Brockington says they were told by several outsiders who watched preseason practice that they were going to struggle.

Gabe Kalscheur says it is what he envisioned after transferring in from Minnesota.

Forward George Conditt was a freshman on the 2019 ISU team that lost in the opening round in Tulsa to Ohio State.

The Cyclones are the 11 seed in the Midwest Region and play LSU Friday night in Milwaukee.
