Iowa State Plays No. 25 Xavier Wednesday Night

Ames, Iowa — The schedule gets much tougher for Iowa State beginning Wednesday night in Brooklyn when they play 25th ranked Xavier in the NIT Season Tip-Off.

Both teams are 4-0 and the focus for first-year Cyclone coach T.J. Otzelberger has been defense and rebounding.

Otzelberger likes the way the depth has developed through the first four games.

Senior forward Jaz Kunc says the Cyclones must be a high effort team.

Junior forward Tristan Enaruna says the Cyclones have developed some chemistry through the first four games.

Former Iowa center Jack Nunge is in his first season with the Musketeers. The Cyclones will play either Virginia Tech or Memphis on Friday.
