Iowa City, Iowa — Iowa senior Charlie Jones is hoping to play a bigger role at receiver next season.
The transfer from Buffalo led the Big Ten in Punt returns last season at 10 and half yards per return and is part of a receiver group that lost some key players off last year’s team that finished 6-2.
Jones says the receiving corps is young but talented.
Jones will remain the Hawkeyes’ punt returner and is also working on kick returns.
Spring drills run through May first.
