Sioux City, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) is proud to announce the 2020 Wrestling All-Conference Teams.
Concordia’s Tanner Farmer, at 285 lbs, has been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Wrestler-of-the-Year, while Concordia Head Coach Levi Calhoun has been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Wrestling Coach-of theYear after guiding the Bulldogs to the GPAC Tournament and Regular Season Championships.
The GPAC Wrestling All-Conference Teams consist of a first and second team of 12 members each and six honorable mention selections.
Named to the All Conference 1st team from Northwestern was Luke Jenness, Dante Preciado and Andrew Null.
Jenness leads the Raiders with 26 wins and 218 match points. He also takes the cake with takedowns (65) and qualified for the National Tournament with a GPAC Championship 1st place finish. The 184 pounder has dominated tournament after tournament and is currently ranked 20th in the NAIA and 1st in the GPAC.
Preciado is second on the team in wins (24), match points (199), and takedowns (48). He leads the team with 9 2-point neat falls and is second behind Null with 11 4-point near falls. The 149 pounder also finished 1st at last weekend’s GPAC Championship and is currently ranked 10th in the NAIA and 1st in the GPAC. This is his third time earning GPAC Conference honors.
This is Null’s 3rd straight 1st Team All-Conference honor. He is third in wins (22), first in falls (8), first in 4-point near falls, and second in reversals (9). The 165 pounder is currently ranked 8th in the NAIA and 1st in the GPAC. Null will be looking to get back to All-American status after earning a top eight finish two seasons ago.
