Ethan Klompien of Orange City has signed a letter of intent to continue his basketball career at Northwestern College beginning next fall.
Klompien is a 6’3″ shooting guard who played two years for the Unity Christian High School basketball team. Klompien led the Knights in scoring, averaging 15 points per game, and ranked 10th in class 2A with 60 made three-pointers as a senior. He shot better than 43% from beyond the arc, nearly 50% from the field and over 72% from the free throw line. Klompien earned all-conference honors the last two years, including first team honors as a senior. He plans to major in Business and Communications at Northwestern and is the son of John and Janeen.
“Ethan has attended our basketball camp and has been around our program over the last few years,” commented Northwestern Head Coach Kris Korver. “Ethan is an excellent shooter who is frequently in the gym working on his skills. He has been coached well and has a strong desire to improve his game. Ethan is a quality young man and we look forward to having him in our program.”
