McMillen To Be Inducted Into Volleyball IGCA Hall Of Fame

Orange City, Iowa — The Iowa Girls’ Coaches Association (IGCA) is pleased to announce Leeanne McMillen former Head Coach of MOC-Floyd Valley and George High School into its Volleyball Coaches and Officials Hall of Fame for 2021.

The ceremony will be in conjunction with the 2021 Senior All Star weekend at Johnston High School on November 13th.

Leeanne McMillen was the head coach of MOC-Floyd Valley from 1988-2009 and George High School from 1982-1988. During her 27 years of coaching she posted a 519-247-25 record. She led two teams to the state tournament, MOC-Floyd Valley in 1988 and George in 1986. She was named Northwest Iowa Review Coach of the Year in 1985. She coached the Senior All Stars in 1987 and 2000.

Throughout her career, Leeanne served on the Senior All-Star Team Selection committee, the All-State team committee, and the state tournament All Tournament Selection Committee. She started the Dutch Aces Volleyball Club. After retiring from high school coaching, Leeanne became an assistant coach for Northwestern College in Orange City, earning AVCA Regional Assistant Coach of the year in 2018.

Leeanne is retired from teaching Elementary Physical Education. She is married to Terry and they have two daughters, Dawn and Megan, and nine grandchildren. Leeanne lives in Orange City, Iowa.
