Logan Meyer of Alvord has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College this fall.
Meyer is a 6’0″, 205-pound running back and linebacker who had standout, three-year career playing for the West Lyon High School football team. Meyer rushed for 1,350 yards, sixth most in the class 1A, and scored 29 touchdowns (25 rush, 3 receiving, 1 INT return), second most in class 1A while leading his team to the state championship with a 12-1 record last fall. He averaged a remarkable 7.4 yards per carry and had nearly 500 yards receiving. Meyer was a two-time all-district and all-Northwest Iowa Review selection. A state qualifier in track and field, Meyer plans to major in Elementary Education at Northwestern. He is the son of Wes and Dawn.
