Although the NCC Sports Shooting team performed well on Wednesday, Iowa Western defeated the Thunder 494 to 475 in the Sept. 27 contest. Blake Van Roekel led the NCC squad with a season high 98/100 including two 25/25, but the Reivers team had four athletes with scores of 99.
Head Coach Brian Lauck said, “Blake had an exceptional day, and we continue to see consistently good scores from Wilson Lofstedt and Skyler Mullinix. Krayton and Konnor Shever both had some good runs, and Konnor shot his first 25/25 of the season. We have improved at each competition this Fall, so I look forward to seeing things come together for this team.
The NCC Thunder face off against Ellsworth Community College and Southwestern Community College on Saturday, Oct. 7 at the Rock Valley Gun Club.
