Ames, Iowa – Iowa State coach T.J. Otzelberger is happy with the way his team responded after an improbable loss at Arizona.
The Wildcats sent the game to overtime with a half court shot and went on to post an 86-75 victory. The third- ranked Cyclones host Kansas State Saturday afternoon.
Last season’s game against the Wildcats in Ames included a bizarre exchange betweek Otzelberger and K-State coach Jerome Tang in which Tang accused the Cyclones opf spying on their huddle during timeouts.
K-State hit the transfer portal hard but have struggled to a 9-11 record, including 3-6 in the Big 12. They enter Saturday’s game having won their last two games.
ISU is tied for third in the Big 12 at 7-2. The Cyclones are 17-3 overall.
