Northern Iowa’s Mark Farley Previews Youngstown

Cedar Falls, Iowa — Northern Iowa coach Mark Farley says his Panthers are ready for the start of Missouri Valley action. UNI is 2-1 following a bye week and opens the league race against Youngstown State.

The Panthers are 13th and one of five Valley teams ranked in the FCS coaches poll.

Farley says the Panthers know every week will be a battle.

Farley says each week in the league race will feature some surprises.

Farley says they are expecting a big crowd for the homecoming game,

Youngstown State is 1-2 after falling to Western Illinois 38-35 in their conference opener.

The Panthers beat the Penguins 21-0 during an abbreviated spring season.

Farley says the Panthers spent their off week working out on their new outdoor practice field.

Farley says the new practice field is a great addition to the program.
