Sioux City, Iowa — Northwestern and Morningside square off on Saturday in the NAIA Football Championship series semifinals.
Top ranked Morningside is continuing its quest for a third straight national title while Northwestern is trying to reach the championship game for the first time since 1984. The two Great Plains Athletic Conference rivals met back in September, with Morningside winning 45-31. Northwestern Coach Matt McCarty.
McCarty thinks his team learned a lot from the first meeting with Morningside.
McCarty says Morningside is a team that won’t beat themselves.
Kick off is set for 1:00pm Saturday at Olsen Stadium in Sioux City.
