Iowa State was no match for hot shooting Ole Miss. The Rebels shot sizzling 58 percent, including 11-of-19 from three point range to beat the Cyclones 91-78 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in Milwaukee.
That’s Iowa State coach T.J. Otzelberger. The Cyclones trailed by as many as 26 points in the second half and finished the season with a record of 25-10.
The Cyclones reached as high as number two in the national rankings but battled injuries to Milan(me-lun) Momcilovic (mom-chee-lo-veech),Tamin Lipsey and Keshon Gilbert over the last couple of months.
The Cyclones jumped out to an early 13-5 lead before the Rebels flipped the script.
