One Red Raider earns GPAC Women’s Soccer Player-of-the-Week honors

Sioux City, Iowa – A Northwestern College women’s soccer athlete as been named a Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Soccer Player-of-the-Week as announced by the GPAC Tuesday, September 9th.

Aliza Edwards of Northwestern College is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Edwards, a junior, from Spencer, scored three goals in the first 23 minutes of Northwestern’s win over Avila, netting her first career hat trick.

Prior to that, she dished out an assist in Friday’s contest against Graceland. Edwards is tied for third in the GPAC in goals with four on the year.
