Northwest Iowa — The Sheldon Orab golf teams opened the season Thursday. The Orab boys hosted the first Siouxland Conference meet of the season.
At Sheldon, the Orabs and MOC-Floyd Valley both shot team totals of 158. Sheldon won on a tie breaker. Boyden Hull was third at 172 followed by Okoboji at 179 and Central Lyon at 181. Medalist honors went to Trenton DeHaan of MOC Floyd Valley who won a tie breaker over team mate Tate Arends after both had carded rounds of 37. A pair of Orabs were next with Hunter Lang and Tyler Merley both at 38.
