Orabs Down Generals At Home

Sheldon Iowa — Sheldon hosted Sibley Ocheyedan in the final non district game tune  up for both teams. The Orabs claimed the win 40-0.

Sheldon scored on a 65 yard first quarter drive with Casson Johannes scoring on a 15 yard run. Mathew  Meyer added the extra point and it was 7-0 with 5:03 in the first quarter.

A drive just before halftime made it 13-0 as Blake Radke found Johannes on an 18 yard play with :24 seconds left in the half. Meyers kick made it 14-0 at intermission.

Sheldon had the ball first in the second half and scored on a 63 yard catch and go in the flat to Johannes. A Meyer extra point made it 21-0 with 11:37 left in the third.

Sheldon recovered a fumble at the Generals 3 yard line and Jarret Roos went in for the score. the extra point by Meyer was again good and Sheldon led 28-0 with 1:36 left in the third quarter.

The Orabs would take advantage of a pair of fumble recoveries in the fourth quarter as Roos scored on a 1 yard plunge. The kick was no good and the lead was 34-0 with 11:57 left to play.

The final score came on a 24 yard pass play from Radke to Max Hamill with 11:01 to play. The kick was no good and the final score would be 40-0 in favor of Sheldon.

With the win Sheldon is 1-2 on the year while Sibley Ocheyedan is 0-3. The Orabs open district play at Okoboji next Friday. The Generals will open their district schedule at home against Sioux Central.
