Ocheyedan Iowa — Sheldon and Sibley Ocheyedan got together Friday night and made up a softball game that had been postponed due to rain earlier this season.
Sheldon got the win 13-1. Toni Lonneman dove in Jada Carlson with the first run of the game in the home half of the first inning. Sheldon scored five runs in the top of the third to set up the win. Lonneman was 1-for-1 in the contest with Carlson going 2-for-3 to lead Sibley Ocheyedan.
Sheldon was led by Zoe Koerselman who drove in three runs with a 2-for-4 night that included a home run and two runs scored. Tayler Weber was 2-for-3 with three rbi’s. Mikayla Simonsen and Nicole Meyer drove in two runs apiece while Nicole Johnson and Madison Van Meeteren each had an rbi.
Nicole Johnson went six innings for the win scattering five hits. She walked one and struck out six. Payton Crichton went six innings as well striking out four and walking four.
The two teams will wrap up the season series and Sheldon next Friday.
