Orabs Open State Volleyball Tuesday At Noon

The Sheldon Orabs open play at the State Volleyball Tournament Tuesday at noon as the #3 seed in Class 3A. Sheldon will take a 27-5 record against #6 seed Sergeant Bluff Luton (30-6).

Pregame begins at 11:45 with first serve at noon. We’ll bring you the broadcast on KIWA FM 105.3 and stream at www.kiwaradio.com. Sheldon is led in kills by senior Payton Lode with 340 followed by junior Claire Johnson  with 302. Senior setter Emma Barwick is the assists leader with 654.

On defense junior Maddie Olson is the blocks leader with 77 followed by senior Maliah Kleinhesselink with 40. Senior Makenna Kleinhesselink leads the team in digs with 284. Johnson is next at 191.

Sheldon has a team serve efficiency of 88.9 percent with 169 ace serves. The percentage leader is Barwick at 95.5 percent. Lode leads the team in ace serves with 40.

The Warriors offense has senior Isabelle Lenz leading in kills with 142. Senior Maddie Hinkel is the assists leader at 952. On defense senior Emma Salker is the blocks leader with 91. Senior Alvia Wolf is the digs leader with 291.

At the serve receive line SBL has a team percentage at 89.9 with 177 ace serves. Hinkel is the individual percentage leader at 93 percent. Salter leads the team in ace serves with 36.
