Pieter Swart to Continue Football Career at Northwestern

SwartPieter Swart of Orange City has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.

Swart is a 5’10”, 180-pound safety and wide receiver who played two years for the MOC-Floyd Valley football team. Named a team captain as a senior, Swart registered 51 tackles, one sack and one interception for the Dutch last fall. He also scored three touchdowns on offense, one rushing, one receiving and one passing. An honor roll student, Swart plans to major in Biology at Northwestern and is the son of John and Mary.

“It is good to have Pieter come to Northwestern next fall,” commented head coach Kyle Achterhoff. “He is a very hard worker who is passionate about the game of football.”
