Raider Softball To Face Concordia on Saturday

Orange City, Iowa — The Northwestern College softball team resumes its season this weekend with a conference doubleheader against Concordia. First pitch of game one on Saturday is scheduled for 1pm.

Receiving votes in the latest NAIA coaches’ poll, Concordia holds an impressive 14-2 record heading into their GPAC opener tonight (Thursday) vs Hastings. This will be their first time on the field since March 11th.

Semler is in his third year as the Bulldog’s head coach and led Concordia to a third place finish in the GPAC in the last full season (2019), coaching first team all-conference players Hhana Haro, Tori Homolka, and Brittany Woolridge. Before the 2020 season was canceled, the Bulldogs went 12-2 under Semler’s direction.

Northwestern is 14-6 overall and 1-1 in conference play, splitting games with Jamestown last Saturday. The Raiders have won six of their last seven games.
