Raider Wrestling Hosts Hastings In Final Dual Of Regular Season

Orange City, Iowa — The Northwestern College wrestling team will host Hastings College Friday, Feb. 5, at 7pm in the Bultman Center. Northwestern is 3-4 in the GPAC, 7-4 overall, looking for their third straight victory. Hastings is 2-5 in the conference and 2-11 overall. Both teams are receiving votes in the NAIA poll.

Head Coach Rik Dahl and the coaching staff will recognize the three seniors, Chase Peterson, Reid Seelhammer and Bennett Sikkink, prior to the dual.

The Raiders will also send 11 wrestlers to compete at the Sioux City Open, hosted by Morningside, on Saturday.

Dating back to 2008, Northwestern holds a 9-2 advantage over the Broncos, winning the last seven duals. In last year’s meeting, the Raiders beat the Broncos 29-19 on Jan. 10; Sean Heeney, D’Rell Gist, and Reid Seelhammer contributed pins.
