The Northwestern College volleyball team is set to make the trip down I29 for a Friday night match against College of Saint Mary. First serve in Omaha, Neb. is set for 7:30pm.
Northwestern has won seven consecutive matches and is 9-1 in the GPAC, 1/2 game in back of unbeaten and first place Jamestown. They are 11-1 overall. College of Saint Mary has lost five straight and is in 10th place in the GPAC at 2-6, 7-6 overall.
Following a 7-1 start, College of Saint Mary has lost its last five matches and brings a 7-6 record into Friday night’s match. They are currently in 10th place in the GPAC standings with a 2-6 record as they begin the second half of their conference slate. Most recently, they have lost to Jamestown, Midland, Briar Cliff, Morningside and Concordia.
Pruett is in his fourth season as the Flames head coach and returns four starters, 10 players from a 2019 team that qualified for the NAIA Championship Final site. They finished with a 25-17 record, 7-9 (8th) in the GPAC.
