Richmond Topples No. 16 Iowa In NCAA Tournament

It was one and done for Iowa in the NCAA Tournament.

Gary Dolphin on the Hawkeye Network. Iowa’s offense grinded to a halt and a late rally fell short in a 67-63 loss to Richmond in Buffalo.

That’s sophomore forward Keegan Murray, who led the Hawkeyes with 21 points. Iowa made only six of 29 from three point range. Senior guard Connor McCaffery.

It brought to an end the career of Iowa guard Jordan Bohannon.

Iowa used an 11-0 run in the second half to take a brief lead the Spiders controlled nearly the entire second half.

That’s Iowa coach Fran McCaffery. After winning nine of 10 games the Hawkeyes shot only 36 percent to close the season with a record of 26-10.
