Sioux Center Iowa — Sara Dekkers, a senior at Unity Christian High School has announced her intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender softball program. Dekkers has played every outfield position for the Knights and had a .256 batting average last season and scored six runs with seven bases on balls.
Sara is the daughter of Bryan and Deanne Dekkers of Hawarden, Iowa. She plans to study biology and pre-physical therapy at Dordt College.
