Hull, Iowa — #7 Sergeant Bluff-Luton came away with the 34-14 win over Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley Friday night at A.R. Hesla field in Hull.

Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley got on the board first when Kodi Noble ran in for the score from 3 yards out to make it 7-0 with 11:04 left in the first quarter. The Warriors responded taking the opening kick off to the Nighthawk 9, and scored on their first play from scrimmage on a Deric Fitzgerald 9 yard reception from Daniel Wright. After the missed extra point, the Nighthawks lead was 7-6. After BHRV went three and out and shanked a punt, SB-L scored on the next play when Jorma Schwedler scored from 28 yards out to make it 13-7 in favor of Sergeant Bluff-Luton.

SB-L added two scores in the second quarter, and heading into halftime it was 27-7 Warriors.

BHRV scored late in the 3rd on a Noble 8 yard run to make it 27-14, but the Warriors put it away lat in the 4th on a Fitzgerald 29 yard TD reception to make it 34-14 and that would be your final.

Sergeant Bluff-Luton improves to 3-1 on the year and opens up district play at home against Heelan. The Nighthawks fall to 0-4 on the season, and open district play on the road to Central Lyon/George-Little Rock.
