Two Red Raiders earn GPAC weekly baseball and softball honors

Sioux City, Iowa – Two Northwestern College Red Raider Athletes have received weekly Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) baseball and softball honors as announced by the GPAC Tuesday, April 1st.

Kate Kralik of Northwestern College is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week.

Kralik, a senior from Indianola, Iowa, went 2-0 in three appearances in the circle this week. She pitched two complete games, allowing only one run. On the week, Kralik struck out 15 batters, including nine in her complete-game shutout at the College of Saint Mary on Saturday.

Drew Dykstra of Northwestern College is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Pitcher-of-the-Week.

Dykstra, a senior from Urbandale, Iowa, threw a complete-game shutout in Friday’s 6-0 win at Hastings. He only allowed two hits and struck out six batters to improve to 6-0 on the year. Dykstra currently leads the GPAC in ERA at 1.29, strikeouts at 57, and wins at six.
