Track Events – Matthew Van Eps, Dordt University
Matthew Van Eps of Dordt University is this week’s track athlete-of-the-week. Van Eps, a junior from Prinsburg, Minnesota, ran a 1:54.38 in the 800 meters to again meet “A” Standard. He currently is first in the conference in the 800 and eighth nationally. He also ran a 49.1 split for the Distance Medley Relay team that met “A” standard and is third in the nation and set a new Dordt school record. Van Eps also competed in the 400 meters and the 4×400 and is seventh in the GPAC in the 400 meters.
