EAGAN, Minn. — Justin Jefferson and Andrew DePaola have been named First-Team All-Pro, The Associated Press made the announcement on Friday.
The pair is joined by Vikings outside linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel, who earned Second-Team honors. Jefferson was a unanimous selection by the committee, earning all 50 first-place votes. This year marks Jefferson’s second time (2022) earning First-Team All-Pro honors. He was named to the Second Team in 2020 and 2021. DePaola the Viking long snapper has earned All-Pro honors in three straight seasons: First Team in 2022 and Second Team in 2023 before now returning to the top ranking.
Van Ginkel received his first career All-Pro designation after having a monster season for Minnesota. In his first season in Purple (sixth overall), Van Ginkel started all 17 games and totaled a career-high 11.5 sacks, nearly doubling his previous benchmark of 6.0 in 2023. He also had career highs in tackles (79) tackles for loss (18) and interceptions, snagging two and returning both for touchdowns. He also recorded a forced fumble, six passes defensed and 19 quarterback hits.
Van Ginkel a former Boyden Hull Rock Valley Nighthawk was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week after his Week 16 production in Seattle, where he contributed five tackles, 2.0 sacks and three QB hits.
