Kassidy Van Voorst has been named a 2015 NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches’ Association) second-team All-Central Region honoree.
Van Voorst, a junior from Boyden, batted .297 and led the team with 47 runs scored and she led the country in stolen bases with 57. She also had 46 hits and nine doubles for the Defenders. Van Voorst holds the single season record for runs scored and stolen bases. She ranks seventh all-time in runs scored with 93 and first in career stolen bases with 93.
Van Voorst is now eligible for NFCA All-American honors.
