Van’t Hul To Play Volleyball At Northwestern

Macay Van’t Hul of Rock Valley has signed a letter of intent to continue her volleyball career at Northwestern College next fall.

Van’t Hul is a 6’1″ middle hitter who finished a standout, two-year career playing for the Western Christian High School volleyball team. Van’t Hul earned all-state honors the last two years in leading the Wolfpack to consecutive state championships in 2018 and 2019. She led the Lakes Conference with 106 blocks, third most in class 2A, and hit .412% in putting down 3.2 kills per set this past season. Van’t Hul was named to the state tournament all-tournament team both years and played in the senior all-star game. She is a two-time first team all-conference and all-district selection for a Western Christian team that finished with a 41-5 overall record. Van’t Hul plans to major in Nursing at Northwestern and is the daughter of Loy and Taryn.

“Macay comes to us after leading Western Christian to back-to-back state titles,” commented Northwestern Head Coach Kyle Van Den Bosch. “Macay is a long, athletic middle hitter who is both a great blocker and an effective finisher of points. She has a kind heart, is a great teammate and will be a great fit with our team. We are tremendously excited to welcome Macay to our campus and volleyball program.”
