Western Christian High School Head Volleyball Coach Tammi Veerbeek is currently at 998 career wins as a high school volleyball coach in the state of Iowa.
This Saturday at the Sioux City Heelan volleyball classic, Veerbeek could become a member of the 1000 win club in the state of Iowa.
After beginning her coaching career at Okoboji High School she has spent the last 22 years at Western Christian High School. Veerbeek is the all time leader in the state of Iowa with 12 state championships and her record at the state tournament is 51-8.
According to the Iowa Volleyball Coaches Association only one other coach in the state is in the 1000 victory club and that is EaVon Woodin who has coached at Waverly-Shell Rock and Pocahontas.
