Western Falls At Pentagon

Sioux Falls, South Dakota — The Western Christian Wolfpack fell to the Sioux Falls Washington Warriors Saturday evening at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls.

Neither team could get much offense going in the first quarter and the Warriors took a 5-4 lead into the second quarter. Western Christian was able to get the lead in the second and had a 19-16 lead at intermission. Both teams continued to battle in the third as Washington regained the lead at 34-31 heading into the fourth. Sioux Falls was able to hit from beyond the arc in the fourth and came away with the 51-40 win.

Western got a game high 16 from Eli Van Essen. The Warriors had two players in double figures. Eli Williams put in a team high 11, and Ganin Thompson added ten.

With the win Sioux Falls Washington improves to 8-6 on the year, and with the loss, Western falls to 15-4.

Up next for Western Christian is a home contest against Spirit Lake Tuesday night.
