Wibben Signs With Dordt Soccer

Carter Wibben, a senior at Western Christian High School, has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender men’s soccer program.

Wibben started in 18 games as a junior and scored seven goals over the course of the 2017 soccer season. Carter was perfect in penalty kick situations, scoring all three times he was granted penalty kicks. He earned Lakes Conference Honorable Mention and was part of the sub-state finalist team in 2017. As a junior Carter also helped the Wolfpack to a 2016 Class 1A Football State Championship. Wibben gained football honors of Class 1A All-District 1st Team during his senior football season where they again made it to the state championship game.

“Carter is a fast, hard- working and talented player, and he is a great fit for Dordt College. He has great character and also is an excellent leader. We look forward to seeing his contributions to the soccer program and Dordt College” said Dordt College soccer coach Craig Stiemsma.

Carter is the son of Marla and Tom Wibben of Sheldon, Iowa.
