Sioux Center, Iowa — Dordt College Athletic Director Glenn Bouma has announced he has accepted Greg Youngblood’s resignation as Dordt College head football coach.
“Greg has worked to develop and guide the football program in a way consistent with the values of the Dordt College community,” said Bouma. “We have seen growth in the program over his four years here and much of that can be attributed to his leadership.”
Youngblood inherited a program that had won four games from 2008-11 and coached the Defenders to eight wins over the past four seasons. Youngblood coached nine NAIA/Daktronics Scholar Athletes over the course of his Dordt College career.
Dordt’s search for its next head football coach will begin immediately with officials conducting a comprehensive national search to lead the program.
“As we begin the search process I am certain we will find a coach who will continue to lead our football program with an emphasis on developing our student-athletes spiritually, academically and physically,” said Bouma.
