PowerPollen® receives patent for on-demand pollination technology

IARN — PowerPollen®, an agtech company focused on improving agriculture and global food security through improved pollination, now has a patent for applying preserved or fresh pollen outside the window of natural pollination of maize seed. With PowerPollen’s pollination on-demand technology, pollination is no longer reliant on the male plant’s daily shedding window of approximately three hours, and U.S. Patent 10,905,060 for the technology was recently granted by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
