Lorne Delbert Harms

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2013 in the First Baptist Church, Clear Lake with Pastor Daniel Mikesh officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 14th from 6 – 8 p.m. in the Houseman Funeral Home in Clear Lake, SD and will resume Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be on Friday, August 16th at 2:00 p.m. in the Evergreen Lawn Cemetery, George, Iowa with Rev. H. Paul Fischer officiating.

Houseman Funeral Home of Clear Lake SD is in charge of arrangements. 

David Gibson

David GibsonDavid Gibson, age 51, of Sheldon, Iowa, passed away at his home in Sheldon on Sunday, August 11, 2013.

Memorial Services will be at a later date in Omaha, Nebraska.

P KamstraMr. Peter Kamstra, age 69, of Orange City, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2013, at his residence.

There will be a funeral service on Wednesday, August 14, at 10:30am, at the American Reformed Church in Orange City. The Rev. Keith Krebs will officiate. Interment will follow at the West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City.

Visitation will be after 4:00pm on Tuesday, with the family present from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, at the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City.

Stacey SorensenStacey Sorensen, age 41 of Melvin, IA, passed away in Melvin on Saturday, August 10, 2013.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 14th at 11:00 a.m. at the First Reformed Church in Melvin. Reverands Al Honken and David Vander Laan will be officiating.

Visitation will be AT THE CHURCH on Tuesday, August 13th from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with the family present from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Inurnment will be at Baker Township Cemetery in Melvin at a later date.

The Sanborn Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for 41 year-old Stacey Sorensen of Melvin, IA.

A memorial fund has been set up for Stacy, wife of Jeff Sorensen, at Morgan Collision & Tire to help defer medical and funeral expenses.

Joyce Wielenga

Mrs. Joyce Wielenga, age 87, of Orange City, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2013, at the Sanford University of South Dakota Medical Center in Sioux Falls.

There will be a funeral service on Friday, August 16, at 10:00am, at the American Reformed Church in Orange City. The Rev. Keith Krebs will officiate. Interment will follow at the West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City.

Visitation with will be after 4:00pm on Thursday, with the family present from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, at the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City.

Harriet Thies

Funeral-female1Harriet Thies, aged 71, Laguna Niguel, CA, formerly of Ashton, IA passed away at her home in Laguna Niguel, CA on Thursday, June 27 following a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.

A Memorial Mass will be 11:00 AM, Monday, August 12th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ashton, IA, with Father John Vakulskas as Celebrant.

Inurnment will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Ashton.

Donations in Harriet’s honor can be made to the American Cancer Society, 250 Williams St. NW, Atlanta, GA 30303.

The Jurrens Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
